Honoring September 11 Through Community Service

This September, Inspiria Outdoor proudly participated in Volunteer New York!’s 9/11 Days of Service, honoring the 25th anniversary of September 11. Each year, this meaningful initiative brings together community members, businesses and nonprofit organizations across Westchester County. Together, volunteers honor those lost by turning remembrance into meaningful acts of service.

Giving Back to Those in Need

On Thursday, September 10, 2026, our team gathered at the Westchester County Center in White Plains for the Give Back Together for 9/11 Day event. Alongside fellow volunteers, we created handmade, no-sew fleece scarves for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. These scarves will be distributed during Westchester County’s next annual Point-In-Time count, providing warmth and comfort to those in need during the colder months.

Bringing the Westchester Community Together

Beyond the volunteer projects, the 9/11 Days of Service highlight the power of community collaboration. Throughout the week, students, families, local businesses and nonprofit organizations came together to support their neighbors. Moreover, these collective efforts demonstrate how small acts of kindness can make a lasting impact throughout Westchester County.

Continuing Our Tradition of Giving Back

At Inspiria Outdoor, giving back to our community is an important tradition. In fact, our team looks forward to participating in Volunteer New York!’s 9/11 Days of Service each year. Last year, we created handmade blankets for Project Linus to support children in need. This year, we were equally grateful to help individuals facing homelessness. Above all, these experiences remind us of the importance of compassion, unity and community involvement.
